Fuck, I've said this line so so so much times it's even beginning to bug me. Time sure flies. And it's not even when I'm having fun, it's when I'm trying to freakin' study for my finals! I definitely ain't aiming high at all this time except for BL, perhaps. Since it IS an open book test, there is no 100% I can screw up that bad, right? =D
Hotlink Thingy... Something Thingy
I can't remember what it's called. Wait, I don't even know... I saw Ivan and the others looking at the poster yesterday while we were having our break from a torturous 5 hour Business Stats revision class. It was sponsored by Hotlink for sure la, since the words were on almost every surface that was readily available at the venue. I slept pretty late last night, at 4 am like that, closer to 5 am and I put my phone on silent 'cause I had this nasty feeling that someone WOULD SMS/call me at some godly hour (thinking that I was up and at 'em by then). Sure enough, I woke up and saw that Joseph has asked me about the whole Hotlink thing. So I woke up, ordered some Mohamed’s, stuffed my face with the shit and went to meet Joseph at the pitch (which was the venue, DUH). Surprisingly I saw Sue Ann and uh... Jin Foong (?) working as one of those road show chicks for Hotmail, I mean Hotlink. Wondered how they got the gig anyways... Hahahaha... Me and Joseph hung around there to at least witness some nice bands perform la. So far there were some alright bands in the form of Couple (?) and Fern (?). I might have mis-spelt their names but hey, I'm not THAT into the local scene. Anyways, up next there was this band that I had heard before and saw their name on an ad in the Monash Student Lounge. DragonRed... hmm... From the set up and also some bits of info Joseph gave me, there were rap-metal... Interesting. Seems that the rapper used to be in Poetic Ammo. The dude's called Landslyde or something like that... Hmm... Anyways, there were much better than the other two bands, of course. Hey man, its rap... and metal, what could go wrong? Heh heh heh... Anyways, there was FUCKING loud, that's all I can say. Either it's just them or it's the fact that somehow they managed to rig the speakers to an unknown level called the "Eardrum Busting" setting. I left Joseph to spectate the remainder of the show because it was fucking hot and my eardrums were 100% busted. I still have that ringing sensation in my ear, man... Oh yeah, one more fact, while we there, the turnout was PATHETIC. There was like 2-3 Malay buggers that were head banging in the front like they were high on... everything! Hahahaha...
Bad News from the Front
My mum contacted me when I was having dinner with Rushdi at Waffle World today and she gave me some bad news. She told me that my grandaunt (who recently had a mini-stroke) told my grandma to give this blood pressure testing thingamajig a go and see how much hers was and it seems that her blood pressure was through the roof! Fuck… I know she didn’t have much time left although she was rather old but she was quite fit in her own way… As much as things are pretty tensed between me and her, I feel like going home and giving her hugs and attention once in awhile while I’m back in Ipoh after the exams. Shit man… I’m getting sentimental pulak… Hahahaha... Aiyah, never mind la
Random Thingies That Have Came to Mind
Turns out there are still people that are unaware of Chee King’s death… ah well… It’s alright. Sooner or later they will find out la but what the heck… He would have understood them not knowing anyways… Hahahha… Other than that, I noticed my weight has increased! *gasp* Lack of exercise in a way and the lousy temptations of Sunway food! Grr… No, I must blame my lack of self-discipline, nothing else! Hmmm… Back to the old rabbit food and gym regime when I’m in Ipoh then… One step closer to those coveted 6 packs. Ngyah ngyah ngyah… Oh yeah, check out Three Days Grace punya new album, One X, it’s not half bad but not as good as LP’s M2M but not as disappointing la… Songs like Riot, Animal I’ve Become (which are featured in SVR 2007) and Pain (current single) is tight!
I guess that’s all there is on my mind right now… Will post more once I clean up the garbage (a.ka. MOB, MIP, BS and BL) in my head. Peace out y’all…
