Ahead on My Way

Time: 10.35 a.m
Date: 27th December 2008

Well, this is it, folks, the moment that I have been waiting for. Almost 3 months ago I got the green light and the funding from me mum. Bless her heart. She went through loads of flak just so that I could live my dream. I guess my dreams of getting my children what they want at the age that I couldn’t afford such things aren’t mine only.

I’m typing this now because I know that by the time that I get up on that day I’ll be pretty busy rushing over to KLIA and I’m pretty busy now packing, tying up loose ends and managed to squeeze some time here to type this little post.

So yeah, I’m going to Dubai, folks. That’s right. The sunny ‘ol Middle East. The United Arab Emirates. That city with the 7 star hotel and the newest Atlantis Hotel. That’s the one. I’m going there to attend my friend’s, who’s also my housemate in 710 this year, Suheil’s wedding. It’s gonna be pretty slick, boy. Oh yeah, by the time you read this, I’ll be probably 10,000+ feet in the air, thousands of miles away or still sitting in the departure longue!

I’m going to be there for a week. So freakin’ awesome thinking about it I’m not getting much sleep! Choooiiiyyyy~

Happy holidays, people. Will try to update while I’m there. Peace out y’all!

P.S: The world’s on a warpath of revolution man, first, Obama as President and then Disney has decided not to produce the next third Narnia film! Glory!

Best Stop Motion. For Real

You know me. Obsessed with Legos. Obsessed with Brickfilms. As usual, I aspire to do something like that, but always lack the drive, resources and talent. Yeah, this’s me being humble!

But today I wanna show you some videos made by this dude, it ain’t Brickfilms, just stop motion junk. Here’s an appetizer of his shit.

Here’s something a bit more sicker. This dude’s fucking amazing!

Remember that popular video, “Evolution of Dance”? Here’s a refresher.

This dude did the same thing, much shorter but nevertheless damn impressive.

Here’s a little something that deviates from the stuff above. This could possibly be the 1st ever Brickfilm that is fucking amazing! Original storyline and amazing sequences and smooth as hell. Check it out!

Phew… huge post filled with YouTube shit. A’ite people. It’s time to come a little clean. Oh yeah, for those who check their FB accounts enough and look hard enough into other people’s junk, you’d probably know my destination in about, say, 3 days. Don’t spoil it for yourself, I’ll reveal the destination the morning I leave. And when I mean morning, yeah, morning, like wee hours that kinda shit. Peace out y’all!

It Happened

Yeah, a Christmas miracle happened. I… had given up hope. I had tossed it aside, accepted the facts and embraced the reality of it. I walked away.

But today, this Christmas morning, my ‘ol travellin buddy, God, instead of passing the usual cigarettes, passed me a blunt the size of my forearm. It was the shit. I guess all those Christmas shows really do have some shred of reality embedded in it. Everybody gets one.

It’s amazing, it’s truly fantastic and I’m anything but sarcastic. I am grateful, humble and ever lastingly thankful. I… am just glad. Smiling honestly from the bottom of my heart in a very, very long time. It may just be a small thing but it means a lot to me.

I hope you guys that are reading this experience your miracle as well. Merry Christmas everyone. Peace out y’all.

Stoked!

Yup, few up and coming events and games that I’m pretty stoked about… And also a hilarious video of Kat Williams doing his thing, check it out!

In commemoration of Final Fantasy’s 20th anniversary, was it 20th? I might have gotten it wrong… Square Enix, those money mongering fiends that know full well that we are powerless to resist the temptations of Final Fantasy goodness are releasing FF: Dissidia for the PSP! It’s a fighting game featuring the lead heroes and prominent villains from Final Fantasy 1 all the way to Final Fantasy 10! The roster for good guys are as follows, from FF1 to FF10, Warrior of Light, Firion, Onion Knight, Cecil Harvey, Bartz, Terra, Cloud, Squall, Zidane and Tidus. The baddies roster is a bit messed up ‘cause some of them are the final bosses while some aren’t. Baddies from FF1 to FF10 are Garland, The Emperor, Cloud of Darkness, Golbez (final boss was Zerom/Zeromus!), Exdeath, Kefka, Sephiroth, Ultimecia (yeah, she’s the final boss but I rather Seifer as Squall’s nemesis), Kuja and Jecht. There are 2 secret characters in the games, 1 heroine from FF11 and a villain from FF12. Here’s a wallpaper Jillian passed on to me showing the heroes and villains roster. Heroes roster are in reverse order.

Here’re two videos, the first one is the opening for the game showing a short fight between all the characters at once and the second one showing the alternate costumes and EX modes for all characters. I’m not posting any gameplay videos ‘cause it’s a bit too low quality and you can hardly make out any real moves.

Choiy… Amazing shit eh? Well, I’m off then. Happy holidays. Peace out y’all.

So, Yeah...

I'm back in quiet 'ol Ipoh, for good. I'm done with Sunway. I'm mostly sad that finally after everything, my 3 years are up in Sunway University College and now I have to move on to Australia and then to the real world. I'm going to miss the people the most. The amazing people who have kept me laughing to the point that I wouldn't mind dying there and then because I was that happy. There is nowhere else in the world and no other people that I rather be with after being with each and every one of them after these three short years. I've seen my fair share of a sneak preview of every facet of life. I have seen love, found, lost and unreturned. I have seen death, my eventual one and of others. I have seen joy, found in the company of amazing individuals and in the smallest of events. I have reached the bottom, I have touched the sky. These are all but small but significant events that will be forever etched in my mind.

I have known long ago that uncertainty is certain and I leave these 3 years behind with a heavy but willing heart. Like the line goes, there is a beginning and there is an end.

So, cheers to you lads. Shakir, Piumi, Rikaz, Rushdi, Taqi, Rahul, Altaf, Raashid, Suheil, Zabrin, Nizmi, Azhan, Azim, Zahri, Nix, Nabilah, Yaseen, Rashmi... even to those that I only had a brief time to get to know you or barely know you at all over the years... V, Aisha, Jubu, Nabeel, Hana, Yusra, Sham... You VU lads, you might not be the sharpest in wit but still I can stand you guys!

Although this is not the absolute end, I felt that writing this either way was a form of conveyance to close one chapter, which I shall label it in a extremely cliched and absoutely uncreative way, the Sunway Chronicles. If now only I can find a way to put all these links under a different section...

Whatever it is, this is it. I've reached the end of the rope for this time. It's time to catch and cling on to another. Peace out y'all.

The Prince of... Where Was It Again?

Watch the video first...

That's right. The surviving gay cowboy is the Prince of Persia. Persia. Gee... was that country in the west... Or the Orient? No... Hmmm... But Jake Gyl-Brokeback Cowboy #2 is white... And Persia... doesn't exactly have people THAT fair-skinned. What is going on here?!

Alright, feigned stupidity aside, this is exactly what Paul Mooney warned us about in his segment "Mooney on Movies" on the Chappelle show ages ago. First, they did The Mexican , starring Brad Pitt. Then they did the Last Samurai, starring Tom Cruise. And I quote, from Mr. Mooney himself, "Maybe I'll write a film and then Hollywood would produce it - The Last Nigger on Earth, starring Tom Hanks". Hehehehehe...

Seriously... When will Hollywood get it straight? Prince of Persia starring Brokeback Cowboy #2. Yeah, sure. However, despite this little, how do we say... indiscrepancy, I am pretty stoked to see how this film turns out. Let's see if they can get the transition from video game to film right this time.

Peace out y'all.

Breaking All the Rules

Jason Statham is back once again to wow us with his slick driving skills that make the Paul Walker look like Jarvis driving Tony Stark, ass-kicking that makes Stone Cold blush and baldness that would make even Lex Luthor envious.

Huh, that’s a pretty slick intro, if I do say so myself. I astound myself sometimes.

Once again, Frank Martin is the Transporter and like all the previous movies, a reluctant one and one that is willing to break all his own rules, oddly enough. He is “asked politely” to transport some cargo in the trunk and a hot (and awfully freckly) Russian hottie, Valentina. As usual, it’s never easy. First movie he decided to help the chick out, he brought it onto himself. 2nd one he had an obligation and I think he was framed for it, I think… Now this one, is a bit more interesting, albeit innovative, involves a sort of chemical time bomb latched on his wrist and the chick’s that will blow them into next Tuesday if they get too far from the car. This restriction in their movement provides many incredible action scenes as Frank compensates for the lack of mobility outside the car and some rather amusing scenes as well.

Not as many fight scenes in this one as one would prefer, but it should compensate with the driving. Tarconi’s on board for this one as well and he’s still provides solid comic relief with his offhand statements and observations.

Ol’ Spiky’s Rating – 3.5/5 – A solid film. Good for wasting time, seeing as it is the holidays.

It’s an action flick, it’s one for the masses. Have at it!

Inspired by Cloverfield

Yep, these guys were either feeling the groove of Cloverfield or they just are the same dudes who did Cloverfield.

Not much I can say regarding the story, linear, predictable and downright fucking scary man! It’s friggin’ awesome in the scare department… After watching GP506, that faggy Korean movie, I needed a horror movie with some shock value and Quarantine delivered, motherfucker.

It’s a scarefest from 1/4th of the beginning and until the end. In Cloverfield at least they had the city to run around in, but you only get 4 floors and an attic in Quarantine, dude. It’s gotta be wicked.

Ol’ Spiky’s Rating – 4/5 - For those who loved Cloverfield and shock horror, this is the one.

I still can’t believe that there are twats out there who say, “I didn’t like Cloverfield because of the camera shaking all the time and I didn’t see the monster a lot”. Sagely advice for those paper here… Buy a skirt, wear it. Now you need to get out of the closet and tell your parents what you really are. Seriously. They won’t blame you, they’ll blame boy bands, Korea and perhaps most solo male artistes. If you’re a girl that DOESN’T like Cloverfield, then well, you’re just a wittle girl that got scared when the monstwer came out... Awww…

On a More Personal Note

Yes, movie review time is over. Now for a little me time. Mum called today while I was out. Told me that relatives were burning holes into her head and back for letting me off on my little adventure. Well, no offence to them, they’ve been kind, generous and caring but seriously, I am 20 years old and I am shifting the gears in my life.

I feel kinda bad putting my mum in this position but I promised myself that no matter what, I will have my adventure! Had a lot more steam when I was talking to my mum regarding these relatives but… I guess they only have my interests at heart but they should ease off the harsh words. People do crazy things for their kids. My adventure happens to be one of them. God bless me mum.

Peace out y’all.

Dark Horse

Nickelback’s latest album, ladies and gents… It’s a pretty generic album with them not doing anything out of the ordinary with their sound and continuing with what works best with them, that baritone styrofoam on styrofoam voice, heavy riffs and all about love and sex.

I don’t know about you guys, but I’m just alright with this album, being able to pick out two particular songs that I really like about their style. The heavy riffs, fast beats and totally unadulterated lyrics about how to do your woman right and the glory of the act itself.

These 2 songs are Next Go Round and S.E.X. You can check out the songs on YouTube, no video yet, just audio and probably with lyrics rolling.

S is for the simple need
E is for the ecstasy
X is just to mark the spot ‘cause that’s what you really want~

Fucking amazing lyrics right there. You can download it via torrent or through Phaze, whichever way you want it.

Disturbing Superhero Conduct

Found this hilarious photo on a group on Facebook called Unintentional Porn which has all these amazing photos of well, unintentional porn. There’s another 1 that should fit just fine here in this category but it’s a bit too graphic. It’s a picture of Batman and Robin with Robin’s face covered in white goo. The expression on their faces are just… classic.

Other News

Well, just got done with my IEF supplementary exam! I don’t really care about the results now, going to check it after my li’l adventure. Alrighty then, happy holidays. Peace out y’all!

Excerpt from My Psyche Report

Note: The following are ideas and notions that are purely for comical purposes. Peruse and read as such. Any hating will not be tolerated. Feedback is encouraged to a certain degree. Enjoy.

9.00 am

The patient walked in dazed and confused, apparently adjusting to his new surroundings. His arms are tied to his sides by a straightjacket and accompanied by armed guards. He wobbles over to the easy chair that’s placed 45 degrees from my view. He turns his head slowly at me and starts telling me his latest story of insanity…

I’m just messing with you guys. I had this crazy idea last night while talking to Azhan about marriage, religion and finding the big picture over some of Nizmi’s amazing Dubai chocolates and a sheesha. Good times.

We somehow went towards the Destroyer, the biblical character that will one day cause mankind to fall to its lowest and thus probably trigger the next Enlightenment or the Second Coming.

Then we were talking about Barack Obama, newly elected President of the USA. Despite his controversial background and heritage (to the Americans, I suppose) he has managed to wow and capture not only the people of his country but from other nations as well that have less than pleasant relations with the United States. He is a charismatic person and probably the symbol of hope and change that has never been this strong for a very, very long time.

9.15 a.m

As the patient babbles on with his backstory to his point, I start doodling on my notepad, not paying any attention to him. However, his next sentences might be the ones that might make me think I’m crazy. This is because for some reason… I believe him. I really do. Help me.

It’s almost a miracle, that a country like the USA (the following sentences are purely my own opinion and should be taken in good humour) who are God-fearing, Muslim-bashing, KKK enthusiasts and the epitome of sickening patriotism and self-righteousness, would actually elect a president, who is 1st of all, black and has Muslim ties.

These people have paid attention to him, been captivated by him and cried for him when he got elected. If my spidey-sense is right, Barack Obama may be potentially the greatest human there will be and will be ultimately the salvation of mankind OR he will be the Destroyer. He, as the underdog, not just any normal underdog, but one with uh… qualities that are not easily tolerated in the American society has not only won the election by a landslide but inspired millions of people in his nation and others as well, as I have mentioned. It’s jaw-dropping and freakishly scary, if you ask me.

Just… think about it. It works out all too well. I hope that my delusions are mere delusions. I would hate for it to be true, but you have been warned.

11.45 am

I clutch my notepad in disbelief as he finishes his story. Those insane eyes drill into my own with a sense of honesty and certainty that I can’t shake. I have made my decision. I pray that I am doing the right thing

13.50 pm

With disbelief and astonishment running through my veins, I stare back at the supermax asylum behind me with the lights dim and sirens dying into the distance. I have been convinced. Whoever who finds this, I leave you with your assumptions of my sanity and his. But I leave you with a line at the end of these notes.

Peace out y’all.
