The Quiet Life

Well, CNY's pretty much over as far as I'm concerned. All the lunches, dinners, meet-ups have all been done and dealt with and I'm pretty surprised on how it turned out. I mean, yeah, I was all moody about how fucked up it was gonna be but I was pleasantly surprised, really. I had a good, decent time with some old friends.

Pretty glad about it really. I found out that people change for the better, too. I've had bad experiences especially when it comes with the whole people changing thing so yeah, can't blame me for uttering that seemingly idiotic line.

Anyways, CNY is officially over. Yeap. So that means I have no other reasons to evade the job hunt and I have no ideas to do so. Okay, fine, I haven't written my resume but I have applied to a tutor agency and also applied for a gig for a Standard 2 student to teach him Math and English. They are letting me charge 30-50 AN HOUR. I used to remember the days when we paid 50 a MONTH.

Jesus mother'uckin' Christ.

Anyways, yeah. One of my friends posted this link to another blog that depicts the... uh... detailed romance of 2 individuals, which in my personal opinion, absolutely deserve each other, and I mean that in the most cynical and macabre sense possible.

Good God, it's people like this that makes me feel that blogging is dirty. The read makes you feel disgusted to the point that you actually feel physically dirty. Man... Some people are just fucked up. They make S&M porn look like Bert and Ernie having a friendly conversation.

Urgh...

Anyways, with this CNY haul being decent, I think I can buy a PS3! So... if anyone's got anything to say about the PS3, good, bad, or about the games, tell me all about it!

Peace.

Freakiest Tuition Teacher

So alright, I was checking the news page on FB as always and I saw a friend of mine being tagged in a photo where him and a bunch of his pals met up. There were some people that I recognized as these people were from Ipoh high schools. One of them was this dude my other friend used to know and this dude, he recommended us to join this 1119 English tuition.

For those of you that aren't aware of what 1119 is, it's the... how do I put it, other standard of marking your English paper in SPM. So yeah, you'd get 2 different grades. I, personally, was not concerned at all with this other standard but these other friend of mine was, so he got offered by this other dude, who I shall refer to henceforth as GZ. Big dude, very short hair, prim, proper, complete square as far as I know.

So my friend laps up what he has to offer about this teacher who specializes in teaching 1119 quality English and shit like that. So, I get intrigued as well as I am not one to throw away oppurtunities to one up my game. So me and this friend joins this tuition while this GZ dude's been there for like forever.

First time there, house looked pretty ordinary, a'ite? Small house in Ipoh Garden, abundance of flowers by the side, here and there. We were told she was a really old lady so the scene was pretty a'ite at that point. Then we noticed a string, looping from the gate, to the window overlooking the front gate. It was one of those old gates, about waist-high, which you could easily shoulder charge through without breaking a sweat. So we started shouting hello to see if there was anyone in and we saw someone moving in the house, near the open windows and suddenly she asked us to pull on the string. So we pulled it, and there was a key, attached to the other end, at the window, that was tied to the string. The point was to pull the string until we got to the key to open the lock on the gate.

Yeah. Talk about paranoid.

We went in and met her for the 1st time. Real batty old lady. I swear that hair was fake but then again we were thinking, let's not judge based on appearances.

So few weeks went by and we kept going to her tuition and in all seriousness, there was nothing any one of us could learn from her that seemed like it'd give us the upper hand in this whole 1119 fiasco. She was a total fraud, or at least, a desperate old lady looking to pay her bills by teaching sub par english to morons who would lap it up. Funny thing was GZ, who intro'd us to her was way ahead any one of us, and yet he stuck by her. I don't know whether he was feeling sorry for her or what, but man, I have no idea what he saw in her to start pulling people into her class.

Subsequent weeks ahead, me and my friend started to skip her classes altogether 'cause seriously, we were paying her for nothing but the sheer entertainment we could scrounge up from making fun of her fake hair, her unfounded paranoia and downright "old people" mannerisms.

Heh... I remember once, there was once a photographer in her house that was shooting her newly renovated BATHROOM. God knows if she hired him or the dude was part of some nutty bathroom enthusiast's magazine.

Whatever it is, the thing that kinda ticks me off, in a very slight manner, mind you, is that what the fuck was this GZ dude even thinking?! I mean... did he even know she was so batty and incompetant or was he just feeling way too sorry for the old lady that he didn't care that he was wasting our money and time?

Well, whatever it was, I got no beef with the dude, but he wasted my time and money. Despite that, he has given me a good story to tell my friends and grandkids about. Man... the key... and that hair. Hahahahahaha...

Wonder is she dead yet? And would they like... give her a new wig if it was an open coffin thing?

Heh... anyways, I wish you all a very Happy Chinese New Year and belated Valentine's Day. May you get loads of cash, the girl, get banged, get fucked, whatever tickles your fancy.

Peace.

So, Yeah...

Chinese New Year's around the corner. Don't really care though. Every year's the same. Most of the time never better. Only gets worse. Or stays stale. Really stale.

Sure, there's the money. Okay, I can't follow up to that.

Seriously? Is there all there is to it? Well, one tiny joy I found in the season is that I get to diss certain things. One is that the fuzz in Ipoh finally decided to turn up because everyone on this side of the country is back in Ipoh for CNY. Heh... time to feast for them. Sleazebags...

After CNY, gonna start passing out my resume, or rather, a piece of paper that struggles valiantly to pass itself off as a resume, to wherever and whoever so I can start getting some paper and blowing off time and hopefully meeting new people.

It's seriously sad. Everyone that I know has their own thang going on... and we all know that Asian mentality some people have. This's my group of friends, you have nothing doing with them... shit like that. Maybe that's just me thinking and that's absolutely untrue.

A'ite, what else really? Nah, there's nothing really happening. Boring as hell holidays. Not graduating. Yet. No fun whatsoever and borderlining on no life whatsoever soon eneough. Yeap.

Peace.

Been Awhile

Damn, almost passing 2 weeks since my last post. Well... bet no one's really curious on what I've been up to, since the only people that are remotely interested are the ones that I've been with while being M.I.A on this place.

Let's see, where do I start? Well, one thing is that my 11 month Lenovo laptop's busted. If there's such a part known as the illuminating panel on the laptop screen, it's busted. Basically everything else's running fine, it's just that there's no light illuminating the screen. Therefore, I can see everything except it is super dim. I suppose I could easily remedythat if I just hooked it up to an external monitor but that would defeat the purpose of it being a laptop innit? For argument's sake it wouldn't but then again who am I arguing with?

With the laptop down, that means that the best computer in the house is down. Pretty sad eh? That the best machine in the house is the laptop and not a souped-up PC. But the real tragedy here is that I haven't gotten bored of Dragon Age yet! I was in the middle of another playthrough as a City Elf Rogue! I was trying a different build this time and it seemed really really fun and now this happens! Bollocks.

It happened right on the day I was leaving for KL  for a few days to see Rushdi and everyone else that was still in Indahvilla. Yeah, good times once more, with those lads. Met up with Shevoune while I was there. Hung out with Dion a few times too and played futsal finally after a year or more. Dayem.

My PSP got busted and now is fixed again after I paid through my ass. Luckily I got it fully subsidized by my mum so my PS3 nest egg remains untouched. Now the most nagging feeling of all when I'm about to spend a buttload of money on an item has come again. Is it worth it?! Lemme see... I have a big enough TV. Not HD, not flatscreen but high-end ENOUGH (at some point 3 years back) that I can play it without losing complete rapture. Are there enough games now? Well, one thing that it has DRAGON AGE but I refuse to play the console version. PC's way better and I can't wait for the expansion. Should be out in March! Awesome! Gonna buy that shit legit and get that sweet, sweet DLC.

I suppose GOW3 is good enough for the purchase, but that's just 1 game! I suppose there're other RPGs/action-adventure/racing games that I can look to when I get the PS3... FF13?! Uhh... Thinking hard on that one. Haven't heard anything fantastically awesome about it yet. Mass Effect 2 perhaps? Another Bioware game. Maybe should get that for the PC instead. I like my RPGs on the PC. Especially the ones that involve way too much time looking around in menus and shit like that and I'm very sure since it is a Bioware game, it will be as such.

Pity the next KOTOR game is a MMORPG though. Lost great potential there.

Well, can't think of what else to talk about. Oh. CNY. Bugger.

Fuck this.

Peace.
